Scope

The scope of WG2 is the development and implementation of a European Quality Assurance Scheme (ECN-QAS) including requirements for Quality Assurance Organisations and for a European quality standard for compost and digestate.

Main objectives

• Harmonisation of the requirements for compost and digestate across Europe to build up an European-wide market for quality compost and digestate
• Harmonisation of existing quality assurance schemes across Europe and
• Support of quality assurance organisations establishing quality assurance schemes for compost and digestate in the European Countries.

Main tasks

• Implementation of the ECN-QAS for compost
• Development of the ECN-QAS for digestate
