BRIT-EU - Collection frequency structure & Annual collection count - FactSheet
This fact sheet examines how the annual collection count ratio of biowaste to residual waste influences biowaste separation performance, using Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, as a case study. Across all three KPIs, better performance is observed where biowaste is collected more frequently, with the highest separation rates and the lowest food waste quantities in residual waste found in areas collecting biowaste at least twice as often as residual waste.
