Ahead of the starting trilogue negotiations (25/01) on the Fertilising Product Proposal ECN sent a letter with main concerns to the representatives of the Council, Parliament and Commission.
ECN's main concerns are:
• Bio-waste needs to be excluded from CMC 2;
• The need for slightly altering the proposed time-temperature profiles for sanitation of bio-waste;
• Delete the pathogen control with limit values for ‘Escherichia coli/or Enterococcaceae’.
ECN therefore calls upon the negotiators to consider making the necessary changes to these aspects in the proposal, following the suggestions as included in the ECN recommendations.
